Dial In Your Pattern

Your trips, catches, and conditions become a pattern you can read — trip after trip.

001 Manifesto Your pattern, not the crowd's
The fish don't care how you feel.
They care about pressure, temperature, and the moon.
So should your logbook.

Bassai is for anglers who read water before they read reels. It records the quiet signal — pressure drift, tide phase, water clarity, the direction a system is moving — so that patterns can reveal themselves after fifty trips, not fifty likes.

No leaderboards. No sponsored bait ads. No push notifications telling you some stranger caught a seven-pounder. Just your own log, your own conditions, your own patterns. The fish notice everything. We decided to write it down.

002 The promise What you do · what we do

You log the catch.
The conditions log themselves.

A catch is a photo, a weight, maybe a lure — the part you want to remember. The part that made the fish eat — pressure drift, wind shift, moon phase, water temp, tide, the lake's name, the nearest gauge — is the other ninety percent, and it's the part you'd lose by tomorrow morning. Bassai attaches all of it automatically, the instant you drop the pin. No forms, no fields, no "I'll fill it in later."

Live trip,
locked in.

Background GPS, catch count, and the lake name on your lock screen — the Dynamic Island runs a quiet activity so you can fish without unlocking. Pause when you shore for lunch. The app knows the difference between a second trip and a resumed one.

Chat with Hank.

Hank is the AI inside the app. He reads your structured log — weather, pressure, water, lure, gear — and answers the questions a guide on your boat would answer. What you had working in July of 2025. What pattern you'd try tomorrow given a falling barometer and mid-50s water. When you chat, Bassai sends your message, prior Hank chat context, saved Hank profile, and visible trip or catch details needed to answer. He does not receive raw GPS, photo filenames, or your private notes.

Share the catch.
Never the spot.

A tap on a catch renders a 9:16 card from the photo, the weight, and the conditions you fished. Catch cards have no map, no path, no GPS — the spot stays yours. The watermark reads Bassai · bassai.com · @getbassai, every time, everywhere the card goes.

007 The moat What thousands of logs know

What 10,000 trips
know that no single
angler can.

Every condition you log — pressure, water temp, wind, tide, lure, result — becomes one data point. In aggregate, fuzzed to protect spots, anonymized, and opt-in, those data points become a map of the conditions bass actually eat under. Not the conditions YouTube says they eat under. Not the conditions a bait company wants them to. The actual, observed, empirical ones.

Illustrative — what the moat looks like at scale. Bassai is pre-launch; numbers below are a projection, not current state.

A card that respects
the spot.

The share card carries weight, conditions, lure, and the story — but never the coordinates, never the path, never anything that sends another boat to your tree. Every catch you post is one more reason somebody else signs up. Every pin you don't post is why they stay. Both things can be true.
